I think we can all agree that the new Common Core math problems look remarkably different than what our grandparent’s (and maybe parents) looked like. But, different in this case certainly doesn’t mean worse. I LOVE that the “new math” as some people refer to it makes connections to real life situations and asks students to truly demonstrate their understanding by showing how they arrived at their answer.

Summertime in Florida brings the return of hummingbirds to the hummingbird garden right outside my window. Since the fire bush blooms bring the ruby-throated hummingbirds up close, I keep a digital camera right on the windowsill so I can try to capture them feeding.

It is the end of the school year and my Kindergarteners have each created a page for a memory book. I want to print the whole book (everyone's pages) as a keepsake. To save paper, I want to print four pictures per page (booklet format). Then I want to duplicate it double-sided to save paper. Does anyone know what settings I would use for this?

As the end of the school year is here we are often asked how to combine student projects into a single class project. This can be done using the Import Pages feature in Pixie 3. You can also import images such as JPGs or Pixie 2 files following these steps.
