Well, you probably already know that if I can drag myself out of bed before the kids, my day is off to a unique start. After getting Iain's boundless energy off to school and trying to head off the Dragon Ladies (Aspen's) latest set of demands, I head in to Tech4Learning where I develop curriculum and media, organize professional development, blog, tweet, update our website, create resource kits, and more.
My first love at work though is probably Creative Educator! I think this magazine, and now web site has kept me inspired since 2007! If you are ever interested in sharing a classroom story there, let me know!

I recently was reintroduced to Mozilla Thimble, which essentially encourages you to use HTML to "Make something amazing with the web!" Because I was making something (one of the open-source shared projects), I spent way too much time playing in different projects, like this one!
In this case, the template was a London Tube style map you can customize with events from your life. I thought this would make a fun…Continue
A few days ago, I had a great question from Bernajean Porter, who is working with our friends at the American School of Bombay to create digital storytelling style projects in elementary grades.
Question: "I see that how to do Chroma Key with Frames, but can I chroma key with Pixie or Wixie?"
Answer: While there isn't a Chroma Key feature like the one in…Continue
